Privacy Policy
RecordVault is built for music producers. Your creative work stays on your machine. This policy explains what little data we do collect and why.
What We Collect
We collect only what's necessary to deliver and validate your license:
- Email address — provided at checkout, used to deliver your license key. We do not use it for marketing unless you explicitly opt in.
- Hardware identifier — a hash derived from your machine's hardware, used to enforce machine-slot limits on your license. This hash cannot be used to identify you or your device outside of RecordVault's license system.
- License key and validation timestamps — stored locally on your device and on our license server to verify your subscription status.
What We Don't Collect
- No analytics or usage tracking
- No crash reports or telemetry
- No access to your audio files, project data, or file system
- No cookies or browser tracking on this website
How We Use Your Data
Your email is used solely to send your license key after purchase and to respond to support requests. Your hardware ID is used solely to validate your license against the permitted machine count. We do not sell, share, or rent your data to third parties.
Third-Party Services
Payments are processed by Stripe. RecordVault never sees or stores your payment card details. Stripe's privacy policy applies to information you provide during checkout. License delivery emails are sent via Resend. No other third-party services receive your data.
Data Storage
Your license information is stored on Cloudflare's infrastructure (Workers KV). Your email is retained for the duration of your license to support redelivery requests. You may request deletion at any time by contacting us — note that deleting your license record will deactivate your license key.
Your Rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by emailing support@recordvault.app. We will respond within 30 days.
Changes to This Policy
If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the effective date above. Continued use of RecordVault after changes constitutes acceptance.
